Peanut butter: some people like it crunchy, some people like it smooth, and some people like it somewhere in between. Many people use peanut butter to make several different dishes while others prefer the quiet simplicity of peanut butter on a spoon. Whatever way you enjoy it, we can all agree that peanut butter is wonderful. In fact, peanut butter has immense skin benefits and you can use it to beautify your skin. If you have dark marks or sagging skin, peanut butter is here to help.

Continue reading below to explore the amazing skin benefits of peanut butter and how to use it in a home remedy to diminish the appearance of dark spots and firm up sagging skin. If you’re concerned about how much peanut butter you’ll end up using, don’t worry. None of these remedies use any more than a single tablespoon of peanut butter so once you’re done, you can use the rest of that jar of peanut butter just for your eating pleasure.

1. Peanut Butter Home Remedy to Fade Dark Spots & Firm Up Sagging Skin

While they may look different, dark marks and sagging skin have, at the very least, 3 things in common. First, they are both extremely annoying skin issues, no doubt about that. Second, they can both be caused by free radicals. Free radicals are compounds that damage your skin and make it more prone to skin problems. In addition to the two we’ve already mentioned, free radicals can also be responsible for lines, wrinkles, dark spots, discoloration, et cetera. Since free radicals come from many sources (pollution, the environment, and UV radiation are typical ones), it is not difficult for skin damage to get out of hand fast.

Third, you can get rid of dark marks and sagging skin by using one simple natural ingredient, peanut butter. Antioxidants are amazing at dealing with free radicals; they neutralize free radicals within your skin so that it stays healthy. Peanut butter is an antioxidant-rich natural ingredient due to compounds in it like Vitamin E and p-coumaric acid. Plus, peanut butter contains lots of other nutrients for your skin, such as monounsaturated fats and protein, both of which help nourish your skin and promote excellent skin health.

Ingredients

1 tsp. of smooth peanut butter

⅛ tsp. of turmeric

1 tsp. of wheat flour

Rosewater, as needed

Instructions

Mix the peanut butter, turmeric, and wheat flour together. Add enough rosewater to the mixture until you get the consistency of ketchup.

Apply the peanut butter face mask and leave it on for 12 minutes.

Wash it off with warm water. Follow with a daily skin care routine based on your skin type. Also check - How to find your skin type.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

“My skin is definitely a lot better than it has been in the past. So I can come on here and show my face to the world without any makeup on my face and not feel like I need to hide, which is a good thing.”

2. Aloe Vera & Peanut Butter DIY for Soft, Clear, Even, Youthful Skin

Aloe vera has a good reputation for being an excellent skin nourisher, and that is precisely why it can diminish dark marks and firm up sagging skin. Not only does aloe vera contain antioxidants to eliminate free radical damage, but it has also been studied to discourage tyrosinase, an enzyme that may lead to patchy, uneven skin as well as dark marks and dark spots. Plus, aloe vera is absolutely loaded with other vitamins and nutrients (for examples, plant hormones, polysaccharides, et cetera) that, when exposed to your skin, helps reduce inflammation, calm down your skin, and leave it soft and glowing. When your skin is healthy and moisturized, it is far less likely to develop troubling skin issues. It is very easy to use aloe vera by itself, but it can also be used in a vessel like peanut butter so that your skin absorbs the goodness from both natural ingredients.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of smooth peanut butter

12 drops of apple cider vinegar (ACV)

Aloe juice, as needed

Instructions

Mix the peanut butter and ACV together. Add enough aloe juice to the mixture until you get the consistency of ketchup.

Apply and massage your skin for 3 minutes. Leave it on for 10 minutes.

Wash it off with warm water. Follow with your toner, serum, and lotion.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

3. Lemon & Peanut Butter DIY to Diminish Dark Marks & Brighten Up Your Skin

If you seriously need a way to get rid of dark marks on your skin, look no further than freshly squeezed lemon juice. Lemon juice has been used for countless years to improve skin glow and even out your skin tone, which may lead to fewer dark marks and dark spots over time. This is due to the citric acid found in lemon juice. Citric acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that can slough up the dead cells on your skin, which causes newer, more youthful skin cells to come to the surface. Lemon juice is also a great source of Vitamin C, a compound that helps promote collagen production and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

However, if you are interested in using lemon juice, be very cautious. Using it alone as an undiluted spot treatment might irritate your skin and leave it looking worse than before. Make sure that you dilute it with water beforehand or better yet, combine it with another natural ingredient like peanut butter, which, as we’ve mentioned above, can revitalize your skin and keep it looking fresh and youthful.

Ingredients

1 tsp. of smooth peanut butter

15 drops of fresh lemon juice

Fuller’s earth, as needed

Water, as needed

Instructions

Mix the peanut butter and lemon juice together. Add enough fuller’s earth and water to the mixture until you get the consistency of ketchup.

Apply and leave it on for 12 minutes.

Wash the peanut butter face mask off with warm water. Then, use your daily skin care routine.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.
