Thick, long, silky, shiny, and gorgeous hair: when you have it, life is good! There’s not a cloud in the sky, the sun is out, the weather is just right, and you don’t have a care in the world. Many of us desire to have hair like this, but what you may not realize is that if you seriously want it, you have to put the work in and take care of your hair. After all, you don’t want your hair to become dull, lifeless, or - worst of all - prone to issues like hair fall or early graying. One of the best ways to take care of your hair to prevent problems such as hair fall is to use natural ingredients.

We have put together a list of 5 natural ingredients that are crucial to avoid hair fall and get soft, silky, and gorgeous hair. We will also share with you easy remedies that can help you use these natural ingredients right away. These natural ingredients can promote healthy hair growth because they contain significant hair-boosting nutrients, which we have discussed at length previously.

What ingredients should I use to make my hair healthy & problem free?

1. Homemade Amla Infusion to Obtain Beautiful, Thick Hair Easily

Amla (otherwise known as Indian gooseberry) is an Ayurvedic favorite for fighting hair fall. This fruit contains an abundance of vitamins and minerals that are excellent for hair growth, for instance, Vitamin C. Vitamin C can greatly bolster your immune system, but you might not know that it is also capable of doing wonders for your hair. This is because Vitamin C is an amazing antioxidant, and antioxidants help mitigate the effects of hair-related damage from free radicals. Amla is one of the best sources of Vitamin C out there, which is why using it to achieve beautiful hair should be a no-brainer.

Ingredients

½ cup of amla powder

1 cup of olive oil

Instructions

Combine the ingredients in a steel bowl. Heat the bowl on low to medium heat for 1 hour. As it heats, stir the mixture.

Strain the mixture and let it cool down.

Use as a hair oil. Apply the oil to your hair strands and scalp.

Massage your hair and scalp gently for a few minutes. Leave it on for 2 to 3 hours or overnight.

Wash the oil off with your shampoo and follow with your conditioner.

Use once a week.

Notes

Amla powder can be found in your local Indian grocery store.

"I was having lots of issues with my hair. Lots of itchiness, lots of dandruff...I heard about Apasra...I ordered oil and a shampoo. I feel the difference now. [All of my] itchiness is gone. Hair fall is almost gone...I still do have some dandruff, but I feel it is improving a lot. I definitely recommend all the hair products."

2. Flaxseed Hair Mask to Nourish Your Follicles to Stop Hair Fall

Omega-3 fatty acids are important for reducing hair fall and promoting hair growth because they can reduce inflammation and nourish your hair follicles so that they are

less prone to hair breakage. (Many people do not even realize that inflammation may be the cause of many hair issues like hair fall and early graying.) Since your body is not able to produce omega-3 fatty acids by itself, you need to obtain them from external sources. Thankfully, flaxseeds and flaxseed oil contain omega-3 fatty acids so you may use either of these natural ingredients to get beautiful hair.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of unprocessed, cold-pressed flaxseed oil

1 medium ripe banana, mashed

Instructions

Mix the ingredients together.

Apply the hair mask on your scalp and hair. Wear a shower cap and leave it on for 2 to 3 hours.

Then, wash your hair with warm water and use your shampoo and conditioner.

Use once a week.

3. Coconut & Sunflower Mix to Strengthen Hair & Prevent Hair Fall

Both coconut oil and sunflower oil can nourish your hair readily. The strength of coconut oil comes from its abundance of medium chain fatty acids (MCTs). These fatty acids can easily penetrate your hair strands and alleviate any dryness or hair breakage. Coconut oil also has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties due to a specific fatty acid called lauric acid. This means that coconut oil is perfect for you if you are also experiencing itchiness, flakiness, or frizziness in addition to hair fall. Sunflower oil, meanwhile, also has access to fatty acids to nourish your hair (such as oleic acid), as well as compounds like Vitamin E (another essential antioxidant). Sunflower oil is lighter than coconut oil so if coconut oil is too thick for you, you may use sunflower oil instead.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of coconut oil

1 tbsp. of sunflower oil

½ tsp. of Vitamin E oil

Instructions

Mix the ingredients together.

Use as a hair oil. Apply the oil to your scalp and hair strands.

Massage your scalp and hair gently for a few minutes. Leave the oil on for 2 to 3 hours or overnight.

Wash it off with your shampoo. Afterward, use your conditioner.

Use once a week.

4. Avocado Hair Mask to Promote Thick & Shiny Hair Growth

Avocados have a slimy texture (especially when they are mashed), but trust us when we say that you should start putting them on your hair. In addition to Vitamin C,

monounsaturated fats, and omega-3 fatty acids, avocados contain a considerable amount of protein. Since your hair needs protein in order to improve collagen production and build stronger hair strands, eating avocados or using them in a hair mask can help nurture and stimulate healthy hair growth.

Ingredients

½ cup of ripe mashed avocado

1 tsp. of vegetable glycerin

Instructions

Mix the ingredients together.

Apply the hair mask on your scalp and hair. Wear a shower cap and leave the hair mask on for 2 to 3 hours.

5. Fenugreek Intense Anti-Hair Fall Mask to Naturally Condition and Nurture Your Hair

Fenugreek (also known as) has been used for countless years in Ayurveda as a natural hair conditioner for soft, silky hair. What we now know is that fenugreek contains many nutrients that are amazing for your hair, such as protein, nicotinic acid, and lecithin. We’ve already covered why protein is so vital for your hair, but nicotinic acid is also important because it has been studied to reduce hair fall and help you develop fuller hair. Lecithin, on the other hand, can keep your scalp and hair moisturized as well as stop dry, brittle hair.

Ingredients

3 tbsp. of fenugreek seeds

¼ cup of almond oil

1 cup of water

Instructions

Combine the fenugreek and water in a bowl. Set it aside overnight.

In the morning, strain the mixture and use a blender to make a thick paste. Add in a few drops of water as needed to thicken it out.

Add almond oil to the paste.

Massage your scalp with the paste for a few minutes. Use gentle circular motions. Also, comb your hair thoroughly with the paste.

Clip your hair and wear a shower cap for 2 to 3 hours.

Afterward, wash your hair with warm water and use your shampoo and conditioner.

Use once a week.
