As we get older it is very normal for our skin to lose elasticity and begin to sag. It is a result of aging, gravity, and simply being a human being. We all go through the aging process. Our skin ages by the day. What can we do to slow down the aging process? Knowing that aging can begin as early as 25 can be quite a revelation.

Repetitive facial expressions are a sure side effect of habitual facial expressions like smiling or frowning. Squinting in front of the computer screen or bright daylight can mean premature crow's feet or forehead crease lines. I know it seems impossible, but try to avoid squinting, frowning, etc. Make sure to always carry sunglasses with you because bright sunlight is a huge reason to squint.

Read this article for useful information about the subject of under eye dark circles and fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area.

Besides avoiding squinting and frowning, what can we do to stop the premature aging process?

Free radicals are not your friend in this case. They are caused by cigarette smoke, smog, radiation, and UV rays, and they have the ability to cause the skin cells to have porous, leaky membranes. As cells stop being healthy and vital their vital functions can take a toll. Therefore premature aging is a natural consequence of cells that do not optimally produce proteins like elastin and collagen.

"I am using Apsara Skin Care for almost 3 years. I love it... My skin feels radiant and healthy and really looks nice. I see a lot of changes since I started using it. I recommend it highly."

Antioxidants fight free radical damage from all sources and they are present in many natural ingredients. An overall shift and change in lifestyle is the ultimate key to remaining youthful; incorporating these ingredients can be a wonderful start.

Here’s a list of 5 ingredients and recipes that will be your partner in fighting premature aging.

Coconut oil: Coconut oil is rich in antioxidants and will definitely be a perfect fit to fight free radical damage. It is also extremely nourishing, which is key to fighting premature aging. As we get older our skin tends to become drier and it is extremely important to keep it nourished. Coconut oil also contains natural emollients known to help reduce wrinkles that have already formed. You can massage the coconut oil into your skin each night before you sleep. In the morning wash with a pH-balanced and sulfate-free cleanser. Tone, apply serum and lotion and you are ready for the day.

Water: Drinking water is extremely important to our overall health, but you will see a total transformation in your skin if you are drinking the right amount of water for your body height and weight. If you are not drinking enough water your skin will become dull, dry, and will lose its elasticity, which leads to the premature wrinkles. Think of a dry sponge (it looks wrinkly and cracked and parched); now compare it to a wet one (it is full, vital and does not show any cracks and lines). Coconut water is also excellent because it has many of the benefits coconuts have, and also adds electrolytes to your body, which makes it easier for your body to remain balanced and hydrated optimally.

Berries, Berries & More BERRIES: We all know that blueberries are high in antioxidants and we have probably known this for a while, but did we know what exactly antioxidants did? Well, probably not. Now we do! These little blue fruits can help fight away signs of premature aging! Do not forget blueberries' high antioxidant friends: cherries and strawberries.

Green Tea: Green tea is extremely beneficial to all of your body, but especially your skin! Green tea contains potent antioxidants called catechins, which can help heal cell damage on the skin like wrinkles, acne, scars, etc. Green tea can also help reduce sun damage and inflammation. You can brew some green tea and when cool simply dab it all over your skin and let it be! No need to wash it off. Follow with serum and lotion of course. Green tea bags also work great applied to eyes to decrease dark circles and puffiness.

Flaxseed Oil: Have it in a supplement form every day and watch the magic unfold! Yes, high quality, cold pressed and organic flaxseed oil is a significant source of omega 3 fatty acids and proteins, which means a few things for sure: healthy, dewy skin that does not age prematurely, reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, strong nails that do not break off or peel easily, and shiny, vibrant hair.
