In fact, one of these awesome good fats is called an omega-3 fatty acid. Omega-3 fatty acids have a lot of benefits associated with them, such as reducing inflammation, lowering bad cholesterol, and even promoting the health of your brain. Omega-3 fatty acids can be considered to be anti-aging compounds because they can greatly improve your internal system. When your internal system is in peak condition, that usually translates into less lines and wrinkles and a more radiant and youthful appearance. Therefore, it is very important to keep your body healthy both inside and out, and omega-3 fatty acids are an excellent way to get started.

Unfortunately, our bodies are not capable of producing omega-3 fatty acids, so we have to get them from natural ingredients. Luckily, there are many foods out there that you can eat so that your body is absorbing enough of these good fats every day. Here are 5 omega-3 foods and remedies that help promote internal health and external beauty. Actually, you could add all of the foods on this list into a bowl and make a delicious salad.

1. Chia Seeds for Ageless Skin

You may already be eating chia seeds as a part of your routine without realizing the complete nutritional benefits behind them. For instance, did you know that chia seeds are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids? That’s right, about 4.9 grams per serving. Chia seeds are also known to possess fiber, proteins, antioxidants, and other anti-aging nutrients that can help you keep your body in peak condition and your skin looking more gorgeous than ever before. So don’t be shy when you sprinkle a few more chia seeds into your smoothie or on your breakfast; a little extra will go a long way.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of chia seeds

¼ cup of almond milk

Instructions

Combine the two ingredients in a bowl and let it sit overnight.

In the morning, strain the mixture and dab the liquid on your skin twice a day.

Mix the vegetable glycerin and oat flour together. Add enough kale juice to the mixture until you get a thick paste.

3. Wild Rice to Reduce Lines & Wrinkles

Contrary to its namesake, wild rice isn’t actually a rice; it’s a grass. That distinction means that wild rice is a much better source of omega-3 fatty acids than either white rice or brown rice; in fact, half a cup of raw wild rice contains 240 mg of omega-3 fatty acids. White rice also contains omega-6 fatty acids, so eating this anti-aging food regularly can help you get a balanced amount of these good fats. Furthermore, wild rice is a better source of plant protein than traditional kinds of rice and is a good source of nutrients such as fiber and zinc. Therefore, if you typically consume white rice or brown rice, consider switching to wild rice if you want to promote youthful, glowing skin from within without any lines or wrinkles.

Ingredients

2 tbsp. of wild rice

10 drops of flaxseed oil

Rosewater, as needed

Instructions

Grind up the wild rice in a blender until you get a powder.

Mix the wild rice and flaxseed oil together. Add enough rosewater to the mixture until you get a paste.

Apply the paste and leave it on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash it off with warm water. Follow with your toner, serum, and lotion.

4. Walnuts for Omega-3 Fatty Acids & Protein

Compared to other nuts, walnuts can provide you with one of the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids, about 2.5 grams per ounce. These healthy fats, in conjunction with other Walnuts omega 3 fatty acidshelpful compounds in walnuts, are incredibly beneficial. For example, both the omega-3 fatty acids and unsaturated fats found in walnuts can help improve heart health and lower bad cholesterol. 12 drops of fresh lemon juice

Aloe juice, as needed

Instructions

Mix the walnut butter and lemon juice together. Add enough aloe juice to the mixture until you get the consistency of ketchup.

Apply and leave the mixture on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash it off with warm water. Then, use your toner, serum, and lotion.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

5. Flaxseed to Keep Your Heart Healthy

Another seed well known for its omega-3 fatty acid content is flaxseed. As a matter of fact, flaxseed and its plentiful source of omega-3 fatty acids have been directly studied to improve your cardiovascular health. Besides omega-3 fatty acids, flaxseed also contains fiber, antioxidants, and protein. If you’re interested in using flax seeds, the best way to get the most nutrition out of them is to grind them up into a powder. Alternatively, if you want to use them on your skin, you can use flaxseed oil.

½  tsp. of flaxseed oil

¼ tsp. of turmeric powder

Corn flour, as needed

Instructions

Mix the flaxseed oil and turmeric together. Add enough corn flour to the mixture until you get a paste.

Apply the paste and leave it on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash the paste off with warm water. Afterward, use your daily skin care routine.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.
