By now, when you take a shower, you should be accustomed to using your conditioner after using your shampoo. As you may already know, a conditioner will help keep your hair soft, silky, and tangle-free. However, before you think about finishing up and leaving your shower, you should know that you’re not done with your hair yet! When you are finished with your conditioner, you should follow up with a hair rinse. We know what you’re thinking: “Isn’t water a hair rinse?” Unfortunately, while it could be used to make a hair rinse, water by itself is not. A hair rinse, especially one made with natural ingredients, can be a vital tool to use because it usually contains various compounds that can improve the shine, growth, and look of your hair. Using one on a regular basis can help you obtain soft, super shiny hair more easily.
Here are 3 hair rinses that you must use if you want super shiny hair. When combined with an all natural shampoo and conditioner, a hair rinse can be a nice supplement to your hair care routine if you want shiny hair. (On the other hand, these hair rinses won’t be as effective if your hair care routine is filled with harsh chemicals so make the switch to all natural products if you want to use these remedies.)
1. Rosemary Hair Rinse to Get Shiny Hair Fast
You might not have known this, but if you want to grow thick, super shiny, hair, you need blood. Shocking, right? Let’s clarify. Your blood contains important nutrients that have a great impact on your bodily functions. For instance, compounds like iron and oxygen travel through your bloodstream to your scalp in order to nourish your follicles and keep them healthy. Sometimes, the blood circulation to your scalp may be hindered by any number of factors. However, rosemary is known for improving blood circulation, and this will, in turn, improve hair growth. Rosemary is also highly antibacterial, which means that it can get rid of infections that could be impeding hair growth. Due to the benefits associated with rosemary, It is no coincidence that rosemary is a vital part of the Apsara Natural Hair Care Routine. In fact, it’s in the very name of the various products in that routine!
Ingredients
¼ cup of rosemary leaves
1 cup of water
1 tsp. of apple cider vinegar
Instructions
Combine the rosemary leaves and water in a pot.
Boil the mixture and let it simmer until half of the mixture has evaporated.
Let the mixture cool down. Then, mix in the apple cider vinegar.
Rinse your hair with the mixture after you have conditioned your hair.
"I was having lots of issues with my hair. Lots of itchiness, lots of dandruff...I heard about Apasra...I ordered oil and a shampoo. I feel the difference now. [All of my] itchiness is gone. Hair fall is almost gone...I still do have some dandruff, but I feel it is improving a lot. I definitely recommend all the hair products."
2. Amla Hair Rinse for Soft, Silky & Thick Hair
Amla is the other half of our hair care routine and with good reason. Amla is brimming with Vitamin C, and there are 3 reasons why Vitamin C is essential for super shiny hair and hair growth. First of all, Vitamin C helps stimulate collagen production. Since collagen is a
protein that is fundamental in giving your hair its structure and strength, you absolutely need it if you want thicker, fuller hair. Second, Vitamin C helps your body absorb more iron, which plays an important role in blood circulation and thus hair growth. Third, Vitamin C is a magnificent antioxidant. Free radicals can do a lot of damage to your hair strands and hair follicles, which may result in dull hair, hair fall, and premature graying. However, Vitamin C (as well as other antioxidants) can minimize that damage and keep our hair healthy.
Ingredients
2 tbsp. of amla powder
½ tsp. of neem powder
¼ cup of almond milk
1 cup of water
Instructions
Mix the ingredients together in a pot.
Boil the mixture and let it simmer until half of the mixture has evaporated.
Let the mixture cool down.
Rinse your hair with the mixture after you have conditioned your hair.
Notes
You can find amla powder in your local Indian grocery store.
3. Hibiscus Flower Hair Rinse for Super Shiny Hair
While you might be wondering how a flower could do so much for your hair, trust us when we say that hibiscus is yet another natural ingredient that you should use as a hair rinse. Along with rosemary and amla, hibiscus has been used in Ayurveda to thicker, shinier hair. Besides Vitamin C (which we’ve outlined above), hibiscus contains Vitamin A and amino acids, both of which contribute to healthy hair growth. Amino acids, in particular, serve as another way to promote collagen production. Yes, hibiscus flowers are very pretty, but they may also become your latest secret weapon in your hair care routine.
Ingredients
5 dried hibiscus flowers
1 cup of water
1 cup of aloe juice
10 drops of castor oil
Instructions
Combine the hibiscus flowers, water, and aloe juice in a pot.
Boil the mixture and let it simmer until half of the mixture has evaporated.
Let the mixture cool down. Then, add the castor oil. Shake or mix vigorously just before using until the oil has mixed in.
Rinse your hair with the mixture after you have conditioned your hair.
Notes
If the hair rinse has not been mixed before use, the oil and water will begin to separate. This will make the hair rinse less effective.
